Ultherapy Prime is a non-invasive medical treatment using micro-focused ultrasound (HIFU) to address skin laxity of the face, eye area, neck and décolleté. It is performed at the practice in Bidart, near Biarritz, with no incisions and no downtime.

HOW IT WORKS

Ultrasound energy is delivered deep into the skin's supporting layers to gradually stimulate the body's natural production of collagen and elastin. Real-time ultrasound imaging, specific to Ultherapy Prime, makes it possible to visualise each tissue layer and tailor the treatment precisely to every patient's anatomy.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Ultherapy Prime is suited to patients with mild to moderate skin laxity who wish to redefine their facial contours naturally, without surgery. Where laxity is significant, it is not a substitute for a surgical facelift.

THE TREATMENT SESSION

The treatment is preceded by an aesthetic consultation. At the practice, a gel is applied to the skin, and real-time ultrasound imaging is used to set the treatment depths before the ultrasound energy is delivered.

You may feel deep warmth or tingling during the session; the intensity varies by area and from one patient to another. If needed, pain relief medication can be prescribed so that the session is as comfortable as possible. Temporary redness, slight swelling or local tenderness may occur in the following days.

RESULTS

Results appear gradually, usually from the third month, and continue to develop until the sixth month. A single session is often sufficient.

How long the effect lasts varies from person to person, depending in particular on age, skin quality, lifestyle and each individual's natural ageing. To maintain the result, a session can be repeated, generally once a year, according to how your skin evolves and your wishes.
