Polynucleotides are medical injections made from purified salmon DNA fragments that stimulate the skin's natural regenerative abilities. Without adding volume or changing your features, they gradually improve skin density, hydration, elasticity and radiance.
At the practice, treatments are performed with the Rejuran® range, whose different formulations allow the treatment to be tailored to each area and indication.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This treatment is suited to anyone wishing to achieve denser, brighter and more supple skin in a natural way. It is particularly beneficial from the first signs of ageing, as a preventive approach, and also for more mature skin, alongside other treatments.
INDICATIONS
Early signs of ageing and skin quality
Polynucleotides improve skin density, hydration and elasticity. The complexion looks fresher and brighter, skin texture more even and fine lines less visible.
Eye area
They improve the quality of the thin skin around the eyes, soften crepey fine lines and brighten the eyes. They may also be offered for certain dark circles, especially when thin skin accentuates their colour. The consultation will determine whether this treatment suits the cause of your dark circles.
Acne scars and post-surgical scars
Polynucleotides can improve some slightly depressed acne scars, as well as some post-surgical scars once healing is complete. Depending on the type of scar, they may be combined with other techniques such as lasers.
Dull complexion
By improving overall skin quality, the treatment helps achieve a fresher, more even complexion and can complement other treatments for pigmentation.
THE TREATMENT
A numbing cream is applied beforehand to make the session more comfortable. The treatment then consists of small superficial injections in the targeted areas. A course of 3 to 4 sessions, 2 to 3 weeks apart, is generally recommended. A maintenance session may then be offered depending on how your skin evolves.
Daily activities can be resumed immediately. Slight redness, mild swelling or small bumps at the injection points may be visible for 24 to 48 hours, particularly around the eyes.
RESULTS
Over the sessions, the skin gradually looks more supple, hydrated and radiant. Around the eyes, it often appears less crepey and more rested. The treatment can be offered alone or combined with other aesthetic treatments, depending on each patient's goals.
During your prior consultation, the most suitable treatment for your skin, any contraindications and a personalised quote will be discussed with you.
