WHAT IS BIO-REMODELLING?

Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura® are two hyaluronic acid injectables. They combine high and low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, stabilised without any chemical cross-linking agent.

They are not fillers: they are not designed to add volume or change your features. They work through bio-remodelling: they reactivate the natural mechanisms of the skin and tissues to gradually improve hydration, elasticity, firmness and facial support.

These treatments are particularly beneficial from the first signs of ageing: dehydrated skin, loss of radiance, loss of tone, mild laxity or a face that starts to look hollow. The two products work at different depths and can be combined. At the practice in Bidart, near Biarritz, the choice is made during a prior consultation.

PROFHILO® – HYDRATION AND SKIN QUALITY

Profhilo® is injected into the skin at a few precise points on each side of the face, from where it spreads evenly. It deeply hydrates, improves elasticity and tone, and stimulates collagen and elastin. It is a medical skin booster for improving skin quality without a filling effect.

It is offered for the face, neck and décolleté, especially when the skin lacks radiance, suppleness or density. Results develop gradually and remain natural.

PROFHILO STRUCTURA® – FACIAL SUPPORT AND CONTOURS

Profhilo Structura® works one level deeper: it is injected with a cannula into the superficial fat compartments of the face. With age, these fat pads thin out and descend, making the face look hollow and encouraging sagging. Profhilo Structura® helps restore this supporting tissue for a natural firming effect.

It is particularly suitable when the face begins to lose support, looks hollow in the cheeks or shows mild to moderate sagging of the jawline. The technique is tailored to each patient's anatomy and goals.

Indicative protocol: 2 sessions about one month apart, followed by personalised maintenance
Results: gradual; a firmer, better-supported face without added volume

IN PRACTICE

Activities can be resumed immediately. Redness, swelling, small bumps at the injection points or slight bruising may appear and usually fade within a few days. How long results last varies from person to person; maintenance is defined individually.

Profhilo® and Profhilo Structura® can be combined with each other or with other treatments such as polynucleotides, lasers, collagen stimulators or Ultherapy Prime.
