Collagen Induction Therapy with Radiesse® is a biostimulant treatment designed to activate the skin’s natural collagen production, restoring firmness and elasticity. Collagen is a vital component in maintaining the volume, suppleness, and firmness of youthful, healthy skin. However, as early as age 25, natural collagen production begins to decrease, leading to a reduction in elasticity and volume. This process contributes to the formation of wrinkles, folds, and skin laxity, resulting in a less fresh and youthful appearance.
What is Radiesse®?
Radiesse® is an innovative injectable dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxyapatite, a substance naturally found in the body. Beyond its immediate volumizing effect, Radiesse® is renowned for its biostimulant properties. It stimulates neocollagenesis— a process that encourages the production of new collagen in the skin, leading to gradual and lasting improvements in skin firmness, elasticity, and overall quality. Radiesse® has high viscosity and elasticity, making it particularly effective for filling deep wrinkles and addressing skin laxity in areas such as the jawline, cheeks, and marionette lines.
How does the treatment work?
Radiesse® injections are performed using a cannula, following a vector technique that effectively targets the desired treatment areas while minimizing skin trauma. The procedure is typically well-tolerated, and you can resume normal daily activities immediately.
Initial Treatment
Typically, 2 to 3 sessions spaced 3 to 4 months apart are recommended, depending on the skin's quality and the individual’s goals.
Maintenance
An annual session every 12 to 18 months is recommended to maintain the effects of the treatment and preserve firm, smooth, and radiant skin.
The full effects of Radiesse® are visible after approximately 3 months, with continuous improvement in skin quality. Results can last up to 18 months, depending on the treated areas.
